WHAT IS LIFE COACHING?
Life coaching focuses on maximizing an individual’s full potential and well-being. The focus of life coaching is broader than career issues, emphasizing a more total-life approach integrating many aspects of life. A Life coach can help an individual to identify life goals and to provide structure and encouragement in pursuing big dreams while helping the individual clarify what is holding them back. Life coaching is a blend of long-term reflection with ongoing support in achieving life-changing, positive results.

WHAT DOES A LIFE COACH DO?
A life coach works with an individual (client) over several one-on-one sessions to understand the client’s hopes, desires, and dreams. The life coach works with clients looking at holistic life issues. A life coach works with individuals to help them bridge the gap between their current life and the life they would like to lead. By working together, the client and life coaches can improve outcomes in areas like better work-life integration, improving creativity, achieving greater financial stability, finding more life satisfaction and well-being, and growing deeper as a person and professional. The initial coaching sessions focus on the coach and client building trust and rapport while defining near-term outcomes desired, actions to be taken and challenges preventing success. Subsequent sessions explore how the client is pursuing their big dreams by focusing on the client’s beliefs, motivations, and actions. Sessions build on a spirit of co-creation to foster reflection, dialogue, and inner reflection. Typical outcomes from life coaching are identifying an individual’s big dreams, clarifying inner areas of resistance, and learning how to pursue life more fully on a day-by-day basis.

HOW WOULD LIFE COACHING BENEFIT ME?

HOW DOES LIFE COACHING WORK?
Perspective clients register for an initial exploratory call. In the call, the client explores with a coach what the individual’s goals were for coaching and the available resources. From the initial call, the individual could pursue 1-2 individual coaching sessions or a short-term program of 6-12 sessions. One-on-one sessions are held approximately weekly for 45-60 minutes with a coach. Early sessions focus on clarifying long-term goals. Subsequent sessions focus on results, actions, and challenges facing the client. In these sessions, the coach will help the client understand the hopes, values, and motivations the client can leverage for improved interpersonal relationships, happiness, and overall well-being. Throughout the process, the client and coach co-create how to best move forward towards the client’s desired dreams through insightful dialogue and actionable next steps. At the end of the requested sessions, the client can elect to continue with a structured program or individual sessions.
